by: inflatablechinee Category: inflatable Keywords: inflatable, playgrounds

Vestal - Jumping Jungle, an indoor amusement park for the company opened its doors a month ago, is marketed as a place for children to have a good time and energy burned.

It is a type of education with great pleasure, said Brian Howell, owner.? These children should be aligned in shape.? The shop offers five assault courses for children aged 2 to 17 years, he said.? Unlike some inflatable party centers, focuses on structured activities and it is free for all, said Howell.

Blades offer courses, hiking and many opportunities to run and jump, he said.

The plans include games like hide and seek, when the lights are extinguished and the participants are Glow-in-the-dark necklaces, said Howell.

While jumping Jungle is new is their corporate neighbors, and gym offers up to parties related to physical activity since it opened in 2001, he said.

There are many obese children in America and many chubby children, said Howell.

The company provides public opening hours of 2 to 3 clocks Tuesday, he said, but hopes to extend the hours of receiving the public additional hardware.

Several inflatable parties is necessary, since it is enough to play certain classes for children of different ages, said Howell.

The idea of the company saw no similar parks in the south, he said.

The company has six employees, dealing mainly with private and charity events. The events are private, i.e. only one side comes at a time, said Howell.

The company has tables and chairs so guests can snack cakes and other products to force the game, he said.

Up to 24 children in the bush jumping $ 200 to play, said Howell.

Pump It Up, a company within the inflatable playgrounds in June said it was looking for a franchisee to open a place in the Binghamton market over the next two years.

Pump it up representative said the company could not comment directly on the progress made to open an area franchise.

What is an Air Mattress

by: inflatablechinee Category: inflatable Keywords: air, mattress, inflatable, inflatable

An air mattress is exactly what its name implies – a mattress filled with air. What is especially convenient about an air mattress is that one can provide a quick, comfortable place to sleep without an allocated space for a bed. Air mattresses come in very handy for camping, overnight guests and as travel beds. An air mattress can be as a replacement for a traditional mattress on a bed, but normal use is mostly for a temporary solution to sleeping rather than long term.

An air mattress works in a similar manner to other inflatable objects. It has a valve for air to go in and later escape for deflation and storage. Though almost any size mattress is available, twin and full are the most popular retail sizes. An air mattress is to work with its coordinating size bed sheets as well. The quality, price, and functionality of different air mattresses vary.

You can purchase an air mattress for camping for less than some sleeping bags cost, however their quality is for comfortable sleep on a short-term basis. Some are for attaching a sleeping bag and some have cushioning built in. An air mattress is a great piece of camping gear, but remembers to bring a battery-powered inflator because inflating an air mattress by mouth alone takes far too much energy and time.

Similarly, an air mattress works well for creating temporary sleeping quarters for houseguests. If you are considering purchasing an air mattress for this purpose, look for ones that come with a storage bag or container for storing when not in use. However, many are single chambered; compare ones with more than one air chamber for additional comfort.

Though an air mattress is also great for kids’ sleepovers, remind kids to use caution with an air mattress. Excessive roughhousing or jumping on an air mattress can easily cause it to pop under the pressure, rendering it useless. You can expect minimal wear and tear over time, but small holes can generally be with patch kits. Most air mattresses come with patch repair kits for convenience.

Though an air mattress does not make an ideal alternative to a permanent traditional mattress, it will provide an exceptional alternative for temporary sleeping. If you find yourself wishing you had a place for guests or a bed to travel with, an air mattress is a great solution. Invest in a decent battery or electric powered inflator that also has a deflating option, which will provide a much-appreciated convenience for setting up and taking down your air mattress.

Some Tips for Looking after Your Inflatable Bouncer

by: inflatablechinee Category: inflatable Keywords: jumping, castle, water, slide, bouncer

Below are some tips to help you get many years use out of your Happy Hop jumping castle:

1) .Always packs your inflatable away dry and clean. This is particularly important if you are packing away a water slide at the end of the season, otherwise mould will develop during the winter. Even on dry days, the underside of your bouncer can get damp from the ground so leave it out to dry, particularly if you plan to pack it away for a long time.

2) Place a tarpaulin underneath your bouncer prior to use. Even if you go to the effort to ensure that there are no sticks, rocks or other sharp/rough objects on the ground where your bouncer is going, there is a chance you will miss something. A tarp underneath your jumping castle or water slide helps minimize wear on the underside by reducing friction and rubbing with the ground.

3) Repair holes and pulled stitching as soon as possible. If you do put a small hole in your bouncer or the stitching starts to come open through wear and tear, repair it while it's still small and before it becomes a big problem.

4) Keep dogs and other pets away. It may surprise you to know that the number one cause of damage to inflatable jumping castles is from excited dogs biting holes in them. Sharp claws and teeth are not compatible with Happy Hop bouncers so keep the pets away.

5) Supervise, supervise, and supervise. Supervision during play is not only important for safety to ensure there's no rough play or kids trying to do silly things, it will also give longer life to your bouncer. Younger children do not think like we do and they will not hesitate to take toys, sticks and food onto the bouncer with them to "enhance" their play experience.

6) Keep the big kids off. While Happy Hop bouncers are tough and adults have been to join in on the fun, your bouncer is going to wear out a whole lot quicker if you allow it to be used this way. The stitching is simply not strong enough to withstand the sort of force big kids and adults will place on it if they are on for extended time.

7) Use Armor all or a similar product to protect your bouncer from the sun’s rays. Your bouncer will look like new a whole lot longer using a protestant, but check on a small area first to ensure it does not cause damage. In addition, if you want to do this take care that using a protestant on playing surfaces may cause them to become very slippery and dangerous.

8) Don't drag the bouncer. If you drag your bouncer while setting it up or putting it away, you will quickly start to wear a hole in it as it rubs on the ground. The same is true if it is in its carry bag as the carry bag is from the same sort of material.

Inflatable Christmas Decorations

Do you have that one house on your street that always wins the neighborhood prize for best yard scene on Christmas? They probably have a few inflatable Christmas decorations on their lawn, roof, or porch. These blow-up figures come in all sizes, characters, and traditional colors to dress up your house or business for the holiday season.

Inflatable Christmas decorations are highly visible, festive, novelty items that add excitement and fun to your office, holiday event, parade, or front yard. They are giant nylon or vinyl balloons. You can purchase them deflated in a carrying case, and then inflate them for seasonal use. Inflatable are a perfect choice for Christmas, since they can be away in a closet or garage until next December.

An electrical pump accompanies new inflatable Christmas decorations. This pump is similar to one that inflates a mattress or pool raft. It is a strong fan with a nozzle. In a few minutes, the pump will fill the inflatable Christmas decoration with ordinary air until it reaches its full size. The figure is to the ground with stakes and tie-downs.

You have probably seen many varieties of inflatable Christmas decorations as you did your holiday shopping or brought peanut brittle to your neighbors. There is Santa Claus waving, sitting atop a sleigh, popping out of an inflatable chimney, or holding Mrs. Claus' hand. A vignette could be with a Nutcracker, Christmas tree, and a gift-laden train. Or you could position a snowman to watch the elves as they tie Rudolph and the other reindeer to the sleigh.

Inflatable Christmas decorations can crown any piece of your property, from the peak of your roof to your snowy driveway. They are made of heavy-duty material to withstand all kinds of weather, including sleet and frost. These temperature fluctuations may, the air inside the characters so they droop. A quick touch-up with the pump is all required to get them standing upright again.

Since they are to attract attention outdoors, these novelty items are usually quite large. A candy cane could reach up to 10 ft (3 m). A penguin and polar bear would dwarf the real creatures. Even inflatable Christmas decorations in the shape of your favorite cartoon character could tower above the trees. Best of all, they can be outfitted with small light bulbs, so they are just as merry at night as they are during the day.

Wide Use of Inflatable Balls

Good as Gold (Stupid as Mud)
Good as Gold (Stupid as Mud) is a song by Pop group The Beautiful South, the second track on their fourth album Miaow. It is one of their more popular songs and is frequently played live. On recent tours, large inflatable balls would be thrown into the crowd during performances of it.
It is often erroneously named, often on file sharing or P2P networks, as "Carry On Regardless", due to a prominent lyric contained in the song.
Bladderball
Bladderball was a game traditionally played by students of Yale University, between 1954 and 1982.
Bladderball was conceived by Yale student Philip Zeidman, owner of a six foot leather exercise ball, as a preliminary event before the Yale-Dartmouth game in 1954, according to respected Yale bladderball historian Sarah Hammond. Hammond traces the name "bladderball" back to a rugby-like game played by Yale students on the New Haven Green in the first half of the 19th century, featuring an inflated animal bladder.
Once each year, at 11 AM the Saturday before the Yale-Dartmouth game, the inflatable six foot ball was rolled through Yale's Phelps Gate onto Old Campus, where a throng of Yale students waited. At the sound of a whistle, teams from each residential college and various extracurricular organizations would fight for possession of the ball. Teams were allowed to use any means at their disposal to seize control. In 1975, the Jonathan Edwards College team attempted to capture the ball using a meat hook which predictably popped the ball, inciting enraged chants of "J.E. sucks!!!" from the other participants; this remains the unofficial motto of Jonathan Edwards College to this day.
Bossaball
Bossaball is a sport invented in Belgium. It is similar to volleyball, but also includes elements of football (soccer), gymnastics and capoeira. Each side of the court has an integrated trampoline, allowing players to bounce high enough to spike the ball, and a number of inflatable barriers. Bossaball clubs exist in various countries including Brazil, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Kuwait, Ecuador and Saudi Arabia.

Bounces & Moonwalks make you playing safely

by: inflatablechinee Category: inflatable Keywords: indoor, playrooms, inflatable, sibling, gifts

Whether it’s for a birthday party of just a day of fun, indoor playrooms filled with inflatable are jumping up all over.
Years ago, these generous jumping houses were only enjoyed at carnivals as a once-in-a-while wonder. But now, you don’t have to wait for a special occasion to have fun with them. While they’re a great place for parties and give the illusion of supervised play, parents still need to look before their children leap with these safety precautions:
*Everyone should wear a pair of socks when jumping (even in the summer when most kids will have on sandals.) Be sure to take a pair with you, just like when you go bowling.
*Make sure the facility has adequate staff and that there is someone actually watching the children and not just behind the counter.
*Pay attention to how the inflatables are connected and taken care of, watching for excessive wear and tear and loose connections.
*Watch the front door. Be sure there is a way to prevent kids from wandering out or strangers from coming in.
Taking these extra steps can help make sure that your child plays it safe. They are a fun way to spend an afternoon, just like these baby toys. And the best part is that there’s no hot air required. Your child can rock the day away or enjoy vintage games like a wooden pull toy. Children of all ages can enjoy these, and they make great baby gifts too–especially for a child who’s too small for the big jumpers. And if you’re wondering what to give big brother or sister, they also make excellent sibling gifts, too!

How to coach team party with an inflatable toy

by: inflatablechinee Category: inflatable Keywords: Inflatable, inflatable, bouncer

Holding a victory bash with an inflatable bouncer is the largest surprise in the celebration party, and those kids aged twelve years old and below would definitely and crazily love this party and enjoy great fun. Inflatable bouncers are those big, interactive and life-size toys that kids can jump, slide, enter into and play.

If you are responsible for a kid’s athletic club and coaching a kid’s basketball, volleyball or baseball team, which kind of victory gift you will give them? Do all of them feel satisfied and get impressive memory on each championship celebration? Here is a good and useful suggestion for you.

Generally, kids are unlike grownups. It is hard to coach a team consisting of kids aged 12 or below to win championship. Since grownups could be motivated for playing by many reasons, such as high salary, wonderful rewards, honor and social state, kids just care about fun and interest from games. Thus choosing a best interesting team game to motivate kids for participation is very important.

Generally, the size for inflatable castle, inflatable bouncers, inflatable jumpers and inflatable slides are large, more than 10 kids could play at the same time. Everybody could have fun altogether happily. Please don’t doubt the potential motivating powers of inflatable toys. if you ever dream to be a best coach ,now inflatable toys could make your dream come true and lead your team more aggressive active ,powerful with high team work spirit.

Now, just let them know you’ll treat them to a day’s worth of fun in an inflatable castle after winning every game. You could also tell them to invite their intimate friends, esteemed parents and even teachers to join in the fun. This way, you could find they will be more anticipative of the championship. As a result, you could get good chance of coaching a champion team and make you coach of the year too.

Active girls and boys would surely love these inflatable sets, once they are on the sight of this kind of colorful, sportive and educational inflatable toys. You would find all of them being fit and active to play around inflatable moonwalks for hours. They will play to their heart’s desire and happily celebrate championship.

Inflatable Repairs

A lot of these new units are not made to the standard of the big US manufacturers and do not hold up well at all under commercial rental use.

More and more people seem to be starting an inflatable moonwalk rental business. Many people are purchasing these inflatables from an online web store, most of which are coming in from overseas via California.

We say buyer beware. We see very little repairs from Ninja Jumper inflatables or Moon-Walker inflatables, both made from high quality vinyl and well reinforced. We cannot mention the companies that are more often than not showing up on our repair tables. Check for warranty, get references, ask for previous customers to call and see how they like the inflatables they have purchased after they have used them for more than one season.

We have been doing inflatable repairs for many years and see a trend emerging. Five years ago, our repair facility saw most of the moonwalk repair customers coming in during the Winter time, which was the rental companies down time when the units did not go out much if at all. This gave the moonwalk rental companies’ time to get their units stitched up in time for the big Spring season kicked off in March. Inflatable slides and jumpers that are tearing during normal use, inflatable obstacle courses that have seam problems during the busiest time of the year. Why is that? We are seeing a lot more units with substandard material, that tears much easier, and thinner thread (sometimes the units are not even double stitched) that breaks under normal use.

We are always happy to repair anybody's unit. Just seems a shame to tell the customer that the brand new unit they purchased has more problems than they knew about or that the seam we stitch will hold now but that the other seams will start to fail soon.

There are not many reputable companies out there doing repairs of inflatables. Some people just buy a sewing machine and have at it. It takes years of experience and training to be able to repair a commercial jumper properly, not just big talk and a machine. Repair customers, beware also.

Monster in My Pocket

by: inflatablechinee Category: inflatable Keywords: PVC, toys, game, PVC, Toy, inflatable, Toys, cartoon

Monster in My Pocket is a media franchise developed by Morrison Entertainment Group, headed by Joe Morrison and John Weems (two former senior executives at Mattel).

The focus is on monsters and legendary creatures from religion, mythology, literary fantasy, science fiction, caryatids and other anomalous phenomena. Monster in My Pocket produced trading cards, comic books, books, PVC toys, a board game, a video game, and an animated special, along with music, clothing, kites, stickers, and various other items.

The line proved controversial for various reasons and many changes were implemented that took it away from its original mythmaking focus, though it has since reemerged with the original idea intact.

?Morrison Entertainment Group sued Nintendo over Pokémon's similarities to the line, but lost.

Some people get these confused with M.U.S.C.L.E. (Kinnikuman), which was small, rubbery, monstrous wrestlers and also solid colored. Hasbro, and later Irwin PVC Toy, released Puppy in My Pocket, Kitty in My Pocket, Pony in My Pocket, Teddy in My Pocket, and various other animal lines under the auspices of Morrison Entertainment Group. Some of the larger "Super Scary" monsters could ride some of the ponies without being top-heavy. These lines were, of course, more aimed at girls. An inflatable company called Feva apparently never released Morrison's Magic in My Pocket7 and Joke in My Pocket8 lines. The latest addition to the line is Jungle in My Pocket, added in 2008.9

Toys

Monster in My Pocket is best known as a toy-line released by Matchbox in 1990. It consists of small, soft plastic figures representing monsters, and later other tangentially-related characters.

In its first run, there were eleven series released, the third being the rarest. There were over 200 monsters in the collection, most of which were assigned a point value. Among the highest valued monsters were the Etruscan deity Charun (100 points) and among the least being the cartoon Man (5 points). Initially, the high point value was 25, which was elevated to 30 for the second and third series; the fourth, "Super Scary", series introduced the 100 point monsters. The third series does not appear to have been formally released, though portions of it were released as premiums through Shreddies, Bob's Big Boy, Pizza Hut, and Konami. Indeed, Monster Mailer #1, the Monster in My Pocket Collector's Club newsletter, refers to the fourth series as "Series III", in spite of a gap in numbering. They were initially solid-colored, though later series would gradually add more painted colors, until they became fully colored under the auspices of new toy makers Corinthian Marketing and Vivid Imaginations.

Have You Ever Been Confused about Dive Boats?

by: inflatablechinee Category: inflatable Keywords: inflatable, boat, boats, inflatable

A dive boat is a boat that scuba divers use to reach a diving site which they could not reach by swimming from land.

Many types of boat can be used as dive boats. Some notable types of dive boat are:
The rigid-hulled inflatable boat
The day boat
The live aboard

Rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RIB)
Divers only spend a few hours at a time on these fast but exposed boats. The boat being small and easily transported on roads is suitable for amateur use. These boats should carry basic safety equipment such as marine VHF radio and oxygen first aid.
The divers enter the water by rolling backwards over water side and return to the boat by climbing back in over the soft rounded tubes after removing the heavy parts of their heavy diving equipment and handing it up. An advantage of this type of boat compared with similar-sized rigid boats is that the inflated tubes make the boat very stable during the entry and exit of the divers.

Day boat
These boats are made of rigid materials - often, fiber glass. Day boats are quite large: typically, between 60 to 90 feet (27 m) in length. Many day boats are used for scuba-divers, but may also be used for any other marine enthusiasts. In general, divers or passengers will spend only the daylight hours on a day boat, and do not usually sleep in them overnight. (They will usually only sleep overnight if they are on a "live-aboard", which is a slightly different sort of boat). Generally a professional crew navigates and operates the boat. The boat provides shelter from the weather and is likely to have various facilities and area's for the passengers, such as: a toilet (called the "head") and a small kitchen (called a "galley"), which is often manned by a cook who cooks lunch for all on the boat. Day-boats usually also have a lounge (called a "saloon", where divers can relax on upholstered benches), and one or more dining tables. Many day boats also have an uncovered sun-deck outside, as well as a shaded area, for divers wishing to be out in the open air. The boat will usually have a diving air compressor, oxygen first aid, a VHF radio, a GPS and possibly gas blending facilities. In the case of divers, a day boat would be used to ferry divers to multiple dive-sites (typically between 1 and 3 sites) during the same day.

The divers enter the water by stepping off a platform and return to the boat using a ladder or a lift. Or they may transfer to and from a RIB ("Zodiac"(tm) or "rubber-duck" type inflatable boat).

Liveaboard
With these commercial boats, the divers live and sleep on the boat and dive from the boat for a few days to several weeks. A crew navigates and operates the boat. In addition to the usual domestic facilities expected by hotel guests, the boat will have a diving air compressor, oxygen first aid and possibly gas blending facilities and even a recompression chamber in some cases.

Different Types of Bounce House

An inflatable Bounce house is a fun and creative way to bring enjoyment to almost any kind of party, event and so on. Not only are Bounce houses relatively cheap when you consider their size and the amount of people they can entertain; they are also safe and popular with adults and children alike. There are some main different types of bounce houses here: Children's Obstacle Courses - Bounce houses which shape like obstacle courses are great for those who want to experience more than just bouncing around. They are much greater when it comes to making fun games to participate while on the Bounce house.

Basketball Court - What better way to score a slam dunk, than when you are able to leap 6 feet into the air thanks to the inflatable castle that you are on. An inflatable Bounce castle which has basketball court is the perfect solution for many youngsters who enjoy both activities. Bungee Run - Experience running when attached to a stretchy rope that can only be stretched so much! This is fun for those that are really competitive and think that they have the enough strength to go the distance.

Slide - For those who would rather jump down a Bounce house which is at a gradient, you should consider a Bounce house slide. They have a variety of heights and gradients so you can be sure to find the right one that you are looking for. Character - If you have a character/theme that your children particularly like, then why not getting a Bounce house specific to that? For an example, you can get princess and clown castles, so make your decision to choose the available one.

Events for Which Bounce Houses are perfect: Kid's Birthday Parties - What better way to celebrate a kid's birthday than with a Bounce castle for them to enjoy. Not only will it keep the children and their guests entertained, but also will not have to worry about what they are up to since they will all be in one same place.

Theme Parks and Carnivals - If you are organizing a special day for a large crowd then a Bounce house can really steal the show. It not only provides an outlet for younger children to enjoy themselves, but also adds to the atmosphere of the park tremendously.

Whatever occasion you wish to use a Bounce house for, ensure that you know exactly what you are getting. And most importantly...ensure the kids have a great day!

Bossaball

Bossaball is a sport invented in Belgium. It is similar to volleyball, but also includes elements of football (soccer), gymnastics and capoeira.1 Each side of the court has an integrated trampoline, allowing players to bounce high enough to spike the ball, and a number of inflatable barriers.

Bossaball clubs exist in various countries including Brazil, Germany5, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Kuwait, Ecuador and Saudi Arabia.

Game play
Each team consists of 3 to 5 players. One player (the attacker) is positioned in the trampoline, the others around him on the inflatables. A player from the serving team (the server) throws or kicks the ball into the air and attempts to hit the ball so it passes over the net on a course such that it will land in the opposing team's court (the serve). The opposing team must use a combination of no more than 8 contacts with the ball to return it to the opponent's side of the net. These contacts can be exercised using any body part (maximum 2 successive contacts with the head or feet, maximum one contact with the hands). During a rally the ball is tossed around while the attacker jumps on the trampoline in order to gain height. The attack begins when one of the rallying players aims the ball's trajectory towards a spot in the air where the attacker can hit it (spike or kick) and returns the ball over the net.

The team with possession of the ball that is trying to attack the ball as described is said to be on offense. The team on defense attempts to prevent the attacker from directing the ball into their court: players at the inflatable jumper and reach above the top (and across the plane) of the net in order to block the attacked ball. If the ball is hit around, above, or through the block, the defensive players arranged in the rest of the court attempt to control the ball with a dig (usually a fore-arm pass of a hard-driven ball, or a foot control). After a successful dig, the team transitions to offense

The game continues in this manner, rallying back and forth, until the ball touches the court within the scoring zones.

Scoring
When the ball contacts the floor (the bottom of the trampoline or the inflatables) within the court boundaries, the team on the opposite side of the net is awarded a score. 3 Points are assigned for scoring on the trampoline. 1 point is assigned for scoring on the inflatable cushions, except for the bossa wall which is the ring around the trampoline. When the ball touches the bossa wall the rally continues.

The team that scored serves for the next point. If the team that scored served in the previous point, the same player serves again. If the team that scored did not serve the previous point, the players of the team rotate their position on the court in a clockwise manner. The game continues, with the first team to score 25 points (and be two points ahead) awarded the set. 3 sets are played in one match.

Development of Soccer Ball

by: inflatablechinee Category: inflatable Keywords: inflatable, balls

Early soccer balls began as animal bladders that would easily fall apart if kicked too much. As time went on soccer balls developed to what they look like today. This was possible with the help of people like Charles Goodyear, who introduced rubber and his discoveries of vulcanization to the design of soccer balls. Today, soccer balls continue to be modified by scientist for the best performance possible.

History
Chives are the best team Soccer balls have gone through a dramatic change over time. During medieval times balls were normally made from an outer shell of leather filled with cork shavings.1 Another method of creating a ball was using animal bladders for the inside of the ball making it inflatable. However, these two styles of creating soccer balls made it easy for the ball to puncture and were inadequate for kicking. It was not until the 19th century that soccer balls developed into what we believe a soccer ball looks like today.

Vulcanization
In 1838, Charles Goodyear introduced the use of rubber and his discoveries of Vulcanization, which dramatically improved the soccer ball. 2 Vulcanization is the treatment of rubber to give it certain qualities, for example strength, elasticity, and resistance to solvents. Vulcanization of rubber also helps the soccer ball resist moderate heat and cold. "The chemical process involves the formation of cross-linkages between the polymer chains of the rubber molecules." 3Vulcanization helped create inflatable bladders that pressurize the outer panel arrangement of the soccer ball. Charles Goodyear's innovation increased the bounce ability of the ball and made it easier to kick. Most of the balls of this time had tanned leather with eighteen sections stitched together. These were arranged in six panels of three strips each.4

Reasons to improve soccer ball
During the 1900, soccer balls were made out of rubber and leather which was perfect for bouncing and king the ball, however when heading, hitting the ball with the player's head, the soccer ball it was usually painful. This problem was most likely because of the water absorption of the leather if it rained during the game, causing head injury. Another problem that the early soccer balls had was that they deteriorated too soon. Because of the leather quality the soccer balls varied in thickness and in quality sometimes worsening during the soccer match.4

Ball Construction
Today, soccer balls are a little more complex than past soccer balls. Modern soccer balls consist of twelve regular pentagonal and twenty regular hexagons, positioned in a condensed icosahedrons spherical geometry.1 The inside of the soccer ball is made up of a latex bladder which enables the soccer ball to be pressurized. The ball panel pairs are stitched along the edge; this procedure can either be stitched manually or with a machine.

Present Developments of Soccer Ball
Elements of the soccer ball that today are tested are the deformation of the soccer ball when it is kicked or when the ball hits a surface. Two styles of soccer balls have been tested by the Sports Technology Research Group of Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in Southborough University; these two models are called the Basic FE model and the Developed FE model of the soccer ball. The basic model considered the ball as being a spherical shell with isotropic material properties. The developed model also utilized isotropic material properties but included an additional stiffer stitching seam region. The result was that the Developed FE model resisted deformation more than the Basic FE model ensuring that the soccer ball will continue to develop even in the present, thanks to David Beckham who contributed to this project of the gravity controlling soccer ball. He is to receive a near 1 billion US$ if the project is successful.

Inflatable armbands

by: inflatablechinee Category: inflatable Keywords: Inflatable, Inflatable, armbands

Inflatable armbands (usually referred to as just "armbands"), are a device to help a wearer float in water and learn to swim.

Inflatable armbands are typically cylindrical inflatable plastic bands that are inflated and worn on the upper arm. When the wearer is in water, the air inside the armbands provides buoyancy on account of its far lower density than the water. Although often thought of as a child's flotation device, armbands are also available in adult sizes.

Although inflatable armbands are popular among small children, swimming experts caution against using them, because although water wings help the child to float, they do not prevent him/her from accidentally going under water and potentially drowning. Inflatable armbands are not a life-saving device. Mistaking them for one can create a potentially fatal false sense of security.

National safety standards such as BS EN 13138-3:2007 require inflatable armbands to confirm to certain standards, such as puncture resistance and the level of buoyancy retained after a period of time beyond the inflation valve being opened and left open (an assessment of the efficiency of non-return valves designed to prevent the armbands deflating suddenly if an inflation valve is opened). Standards also require prominent labeling near to the inflation valves to the effect that inflatable armbands are not life preservers and should only be used under competent supervision.

Inflatable armbands for swimmers were invented by Bernhard Markwitz in Hamburg, Germany. In 1956, Markwitz's three-year-old daughter had fallen into a goldfish pond and nearly drowned. Because of this, Markwitz invented and developed a swimming aid that would be safer for children than the swimming rings at the time, which were made of cork. A lottery win (253 thousand Deutsche Mark) gave him a suitable start capital. In 1964, Markwitz had developed the armbands in their final form and marketed them under the name "BEMA". Their modern name in German, literally translates as "swimming wings".

A similar design of water wings was shown in the magazine Modern Mechanix in October 1931. They were made of rubber, consisted of two parts and were worn on the upper arms. The armbands could be inflated through a valve. These were first demonstrated in public on the beaches of Los Angeles, California, USA.

In 1907, in response to swimming having become part of the school curriculum and therefore increased parental concerns about the safety of their children in the water, the Dean's Rag Book Company, London, introduced the Swimeesy Buoy, inflatable armbands with a colorful design in the form of a butterfly. (A plain white version was also available). This product became so popular that it was available, almost unchanged, until the outbreak of World War II.

If you are interested in hot air balloon, then you should know that is indeed fairly easy to get involved with it. Getting involved in hot air ballooning is as simple a process as following a hot air balloon and meeting it where it lands – yes that means it is indeed simple but it takes a lot of time, patience, courage and energy.

Ever heard of hot air balloon ride festivals?

If you are interested in hot air balloon, then you should probably go experience the thrill of a hot air balloon festival. Hot air balloon festivals are generally held in all countries all over the world, all year round. Not only do these festivals give the balloonists a chance to participate in the races while providing them with the opportunity to display their balloons, but it is also a great way of drawing crowds and allowing the public to witness this colorful spectacle while learning more about the sport.

There are hundreds of different hot air balloon ride festivals held every year, with the maximum number of them taking place in the months of summer and fall. If you are planning on visiting one of these festivals this year, then you should know like most hot air balloon festivals are like carnivals – from food and entertainment, to music and fun and all the frazzle dazzle that comes along with it – hot air balloon festivals are like the ‘Mardi Gras’ for balloonists, minus the samba dancers of course!

So, be prepared to wake up early in the morning because many flights take place in the wee hours of the morning, and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to miss that – would you? If you are interested in hot air ballooning – not just from a fun ride point of view – but you want to learn the ins and outs of the activity, then feel free to ask the pros questions. They’ll be more than willing to answer your questions, and if you are lucky enough, you’ll probably come across a balloonist that stays in your vicinity.

Getting Started with Hot Air Ballooning: Hot Air Balloon Ride Tips

No matter how you decide to get into the groove of hot air ballooning, you will surely fall in love with this sport. Its unique appeal makes it all the more attractive to adrenaline junkies of all ages. What’s more, it is one of the best conversation starters at a club, pub, coffee shop and even a PTA! It also makes a great first date for the young, a good outing for the families and an amazing travel adventure for the elderly.

So, when you are getting started with hot air ballooning, here are a few tips (no matter how inconsequential they may seem) to consider, as they will be of use to you:

? Here are a couple of items to carry along when you go on a hot balloon ride – warm jackets, camcorders, cameras, binoculars, camera batteries, and film.

? Search in the yellow pages or online for the best possible ballooning companies. Ask around for references and find the most popular ballooning area.

? Call in advance to book a flight. Prices vary from company to company. You might have to pay extra for chartering a flight and if you want special goodies like champagne and wine then you’ll need to customize your flight, which costs more.

? Shop around for different packages and deals. Most hot air balloon companies provide full-day and half-day trips.

? Be prepared to start off early – as most companies will ask you to come to the launch pad at dawn when the wind is mild or nonexistent. Bad weather conditions would mean your trip gets cancelled. After all, you don’t want to be involved in a hot air balloon crash do you?

? As silly as it may seem, most companies will advise you to use the restroom before you come in for your flight. Trust me; this is the most useful tip.

Hot Air Balloon Ride Precautions

? When ballooning, don’t get tensed about falling from the basket – it doesn’t really sway that much.

? If you are going to a popular ballooning destination, then book your ride in advance.

? Even though most hot air balloons tend to go where the wind takes them, make sure there is some ground crew following your particular balloon. But don’t worry about getting lost; the ground crew always keeps in touch with the pilot by radio.

? Even if you suffer from motion sickness, most people don’t get airsick when going on a hot air balloon ride. But if you are still concerned, then carry your motion sickness medication along.

? If you suffer from vertigo, then you may want to reconsider going for this activity. Yes, hot air ballooning is indeed addictive. Once you go for your first hot air balloon ride, you are definitely going to be hooked to the sport. You can say goodbye to sleep, boring weekends! Once you are hooked, you’ll want to go ballooning all the time.

Inflatable Trampolines –The Ultimate Party Supply

by: inflatablechinee Category: inflatable Keywords: inflatable, balloons

So, you've got one heck of a party coming up and you want to make sure that your friends have a great time. You might have brought out a great little barbecue, bought some new lawn chairs, and set up a jungle gym for your kids. What else do you need to really put your party over the top? There are a lot of great choices out there, and among them you might consider renting an inflatable trampoline. Why Rent an Inflatable Trampoline?Renting an inflatable trampoline is easy, and it can provide hours of entertainment at your next event. I know you have seen them, just think of your last major picnic or harvest festival. Yup, there was one there, usually filled with kids, sometimes with balls or balloons for added pleasure. Just think, neighborhood parties, special events like graduations or other celebrations are great times spent with the kids or adults all burning off the extra cake or punch energy, and you can sit back and relax. Where to Rent an Inflatable TrampolineParty rental stores and sports stores are the obvious first stop for your rental. They supply them to dozens of birthday parties and company picnics every week and will have the most information and best staff to help you in setting up your party rental. The key is to make sure you give yourself and the store you're renting from enough time, so as you will have it on the day it is needed. Don't wait until the last second, or you might not find what you're looking for. How to Set Up an Inflatable TrampolineFirst, find a level flat spot preferably on smooth grass. Remember; do not set up the trampoline on cement. Doing so will simply increase the risk of injury, and that will ensure a fun filled day ends the wrong way. Next, lay it out flat and be sure to smooth out the top part. Use the materials the store gave you to ensure you don't break anything and make sure to give yourself ample time to inflate and set everything up. If you do it an hour before the party, you might be disappointed when it deflates and causes a ruckus with the parents of all those smothered children. Some handy reminders about your inflatable trampoline are to keep sharp objects away from it and out of it and out from under it. Do not set it up on gravel, and be sure people take off their shoes before going inside. Most of all have a blast on your inflatable trampoline! Feel like a kid again!
