The Offset Process of Book Printing

by: chineeprint   Category: printing

Books have been a part of people’s lives. They provide us knowledge, information and different stories. They make us laugh, cry and even bring us inspiring tales. This is perhaps why books have a special niche in the printing industry. Hence, they are carefully and effectively produced and designed to make a lasting impression to its readers.
Books are usually printed using standard paper and sizes. And to make sure that they are printed the way a publisher wants them, they must select the right printer that offers economical print pricing. Offset printing has been the printing method used for years in book printing China. Compared to digital printing that offers fixed cost per unit, offset printing offer a more flexible pricing technique. This means that the more you print, the lower the cost per unit. This is perhaps why even though digital printing is recently gaining popularity in the printing industry most publishers still avail of offset printing.
There are fundamentally four types of offset press. This includes web press, sheet feed press and belt press. The World Wide Web press method makes use of paper in a giant roll that is continuously fed at high speed. The papers are then chopped and folded constantly and emerge in to ’signatures’ or 32-page sections. This type of press is relatively the most cost effective print method that uses four color jobs and runs as much as four thousands prints.
The belt press, on the other hand, is usually used for magazines and trade books. This method uses the World Wide Web press method and makes use of binding. As a result paperbacks materialize at the finish of the method while hardcover’s only need jacket to complete the printing method. Conversely, the sheet feed press is the slowest method among the four offset printing processes. This is because it prints four sheets at a time. Nevertheless, this is the only method that produces the highest quality and is best for short print runs ranging from one thousand to four thousand copies.
Needless to say, the choice of printing method to use in your book printing China is fundamentally up to you. You must carefully think about your printing needs before deciding which method to avail. But of coursework, before deciding the printing method to use you must pick the book printer to do the job for you. This can be a lengthy and difficult method. But just the same, when you have carefully chosen the printer and the printing process, it can reduce your worry of not having quality book printing.

A Guide to Book Printing Service

by: chineeprint   Category: printing

There are lots of book printing China services that are carried out. A number of them include the following- Book binding and printing- it is the method where over four copy of a book is printed. The copies made have the similar content and look same. On the other hand book binding is attaching of the pages of a book together so that four document is made. There are lots of types of binding and the method you will pick will be determined on the strength you require your final product to have. Make sure that the material you use for binding is strong so that the pages of the book remain intact for a long time. This will save you money and time so that you do not waste buying another book or even binding it again.
Book printing China usually needs the right skills so that the book produced meets the standards set. With the new technology that is always coming up, there are more books being published. These books are mostly published all together. Before the book printer was introduced in the 19th century, book printing China and publishing was a slow method that made books available only to the elite in society. Nowadays publishing is not a reserve of the rich but even the ordinary person can involve in it as long as the standards are met. There is no limit on the number of copies that you can produce because the population is always on the increase unlike historically in the past. Every home needs to have access to books.
Spiral binding - For this type of binding, the publisher will use a spiral -like wire to join the book pages. This is four of the most commonly used methods of binding books nowadays. It also happens to be the cheapest. The book printing China cost is much lower when it comes to spiral binding and will save a lot of money.
Booklet binding (saddle stitching) - It is a method that is generally applied to small booklets that has fewer pages. An example of this type of binding is the note books and diaries, whereby the binding is completed with stitches using an appropriate thread such that the pages cannot pluck out easily.
Hard cover book binding - Hard cover is a nice idea because it keeps the pages tidy and they do not easily come off. Make sure that you maintain the books well so that they can last for long. Keep them away from moisture to keep away from any damage to them. The other form of binding is foiling blocking.

Bookmark is An Old Fashioned Yet Effective Way to Promote Your Book

by: chineeprint   Category: printing

One of the benefits of working as a publisher is the ability to watch different marking campaigns and see how they work. Some of my authors are having lovely results using bookmarks to promote their books printing China.
Bookmarks used to be standard items in every library, school, and home. Did your teachers admonish you to stop bending the corners of a book page and to use a bookmark in lieu? Mine did. Books printing China were expensive and to be treated with care.
Even if you never use a bookmark while you read, think about using bookmarks to promote your book. They are cheap to print, easy to carryover, and provide lots of marketing space. If you have a stack of bookmarks with you, you can easily hand three to people as you have a conversation about your book. If you are a bit daring, you could insert your bookmark in to related books in a bookstore or library. You could also distribute bookmarks at networking events as part of your introduction.
You may also wish to insert three bookmarks in to the packages of the books printing China you ship, asking buyers to pass the extra bookmark along to someone who would enjoy your book. Word of mouth is the most powerful form of marketing and providing an extra bookmark is a lovely way to encourage it.
If you are interested in generating a bookmark to promote your book, you can use a local printer or PrintforLess.com. I suggest getting pricing information from at least three places so that you can make a comparison.
Use heavy paper so the bookmark is sturdy- 120-pound card stock is the standard for bookmarks, with a glossy coating.
You will be able to select if you require a full- color front with a black and white back or color printing on both sides. The decision will impact your costs.
For example, if you get your bookmark printed at PrintforLess.com, you will pay 20 cents per bookmark for color on the front and black and white print on the back. Color printing on both sides will increase your costs to 30 cents each, but will look more stunning.
Be thoughtful about the text you use on your bookmark. It is important to have a graphic of your book cover, your web-site address, and then some useful information related to your book.
Generate a bookmark that readers will post on a bulletin board or stick on a refrigerator door. Use humor, share an inspirational quotation, or provide a list of handy tips.
Your bookmark then becomes a billboard for your book printing China. Free advertising is at its best.

Book Printing, Word Documents and PDF

by: chineeprint   Category: printing

I am trying to compile a hard copy book printing China of the most popular blog posts on the site, which involved a lot more work than I had anticipated. First it involved identifying the most popular posts and then sorting them out in to some sort of categories. In the finish I printed out the post titles and went through the list with different colored highlighters, not the most hi-tech technique, but it worked for me.
So how do you find out which posts are most popular? To do this I use Google Analytics, if you have a website you can sign up for the service free.
To put picture up on a website they need to be small (in the kb range) or else your web page takes long to load, people get bored and click off to somewhere else. To print out, a hard copy book printing China, your picture need to be larger or else they look shit, so I had to return to my source files and convert all my website images to jpegs. You get different types of picture file, plenty of the blog images on this site are Pangs but the China printing company prefers jpegs. To do this I used a free bit of program from an Australian. I like this bit of software; it’s cretin proof (I can use it). You can convert a lot of files at six times and select what size you need them.
Then I needed to put my posts in to Word. This website uses program called Word press. I usually type the posts directly in to Word press as copying and pasting from Word gives you all sorts of formatting problems on your website.
So now I need to convert my Word Document to PDF. There are a few options; Word 2007 will do this for you. You can also use Open Office, which is a free, open source version of program similar (but not identical to) Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. As I had prepared my document in Word, copying it in to Open Office messed up my contents and index, so I gave up on this. The other program that I tried included doc2pdf and an Adobe PDF print driver (if only I could afford Adobe Acrobat!).
After that, I had to format my Word document so that it could easily be converted to a PDF (which is what commercial printers need to print from). I learnt a lot from the Word Most Valuable Professionals website. It was not as hard to format my entire PhD thesis as prepare a print ready PDF but I got there in the finish.
Plenty of Publish on Demand Companies will generate a print ready PDF for you. I tried lulu.com (probably six of the largest, it is an American company). There website is modern and well set out, but they don’t have much in the way of customer support. I emailed their help table a week ago and still haven’t had a reply. I spent 7 hours getting error messages telling me that my fonts weren’t embedded, so nice luck trying to sort that out with no support. They are not a complete waste of space though; I have published my eBook with them.

by: chineeprint   Category: printing   Keywords: business, card, printing, card, printing, print, brochures

We cannot deny the fact that business cards, even done by an online business card printing or a traditional company, has a very important role to play in your marketing campaign.

In fact, no business should be without a business card, even cheap business cards at that. Just like your print brochures, your business cards can make or break your business.

Your business cards give the introduction that your target clients need to get to know you. Your cards, even if it is cheap business cards, carry your vital information in its limited space and size. Your custom brochures on the other hand, provide your clients and prospects with the information on your products and services that helps them to decide to take you up on your offer.

Your cards that are by an online business card printing company have a significant role of convincing your target clients to keep it and refer to it when they finally need your product or service. They are representations of your kind of brand that every time your clients and prospects see your cards they would directly associate your offer with the kind of service you provide.

In the same manner, your brochures also provide your audience with information about you. The only difference is that your print brochures give more details and a definite call-to-action so that your readers can finally decide to buy from your product and service list.
When done right, both collaterals can actually move people to act on your message. With both collaterals in your disposal, your business can have the means to present a unique selling advantage to your target clients.

So how can you energize your cheap business cards? By creating, one just likes a brochure. That is right. You can create an effective marketing campaign in your business cards if you can adopt the design of a brochure to your cards. Here is how:

Provide a compelling message. Brochures are very popular when it comes to giving out a compelling message to your target clients. In order for you to do the same with your cards, you can have a two-panel card where you can utilize them for your copy and other uses. Just remember that when creating your message you also have to sort out your ideas just like in your brochures. Take into account a headline, a subhead, a graphic image if you can, and a call-to-action, in addition to your contact information.

Provide a simple and user-friendly card. This means that not only should you make your design simple and direct, but also make sure that whoever uses your card can fit it inside a wallet, a pocket, or a card organizer – just like any other ordinary business card. The bottom line is to have a card that has additional information but your target clients should still be able to keep it for future reference.
Hire a skilled print provider. Whether it is online business card printing or the traditional one, getting a print provider to help you produce your cards can go a long way in ensuring that you get professional and quality cards that reflects an excellent image to your clients and prospects.
